Protoceratops andrewsi is shown from a vetted PBDB fossil occurrence in Djadokhta, Mongolia. The occurrence is dated to the Late Campanian interval (83.6-72.2 Ma), with locality evidence recorded as Toogreeg Shire, west of Bayn Dzak, Mongolia.

Protoceratops was a herbivore. It lived in the Cretaceous period and inhabited Asia. Its fossils have been found in places such as Gansu (China), Bayankhongor (Mongolia) and Inner Mongolia (China).
