Green Peafowl

Unlike Indian peafowl, both males and females have long tail feathers in the green species.

Their train feathers can spread into a fan over 1.5 meters wide.

Have been depicted in ancient Burmese and Khmer art for centuries.

Capable of short bursts of flight despite their elaborate plumage.

Considered the national bird of Myanmar.
